La Casa del Mulino
The garden in which In Restoration is partly set is at La Casa del Mulino near Cortona in eastern Tuscany.
Valerie acquired the house 30 years ago, as a family base for research as well as to enjoy the country of St. Francis of Assisi and Piero della Francesca. Since then the Casa del Mulino has become her ‘home from home’ and she takes pleasure in letting it, when her family is not there, to like-minded people, just to cover expenses.
